Description

Incumbents in this role are responsible for providing accurate and reliable financial and/or quantitative financial market data to internal database and/or internal and external clientele based on 'off the shelf ' published financial industry source publications, financial reports and resources. (Data Administrator) Provides administrative support to the company research teams in regard to the maintenance of the internal database. Focus on ensuring accuracy and currency of data input of financial market information. Additionally, incumbents at this level may begin to expand or are in the process of learning the content sources and data sets used for a business standpoint (may deal with a single data set).

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain data accurately and in a timely manner onto databases using technical and financial knowledge.
• Communicate & liase with internal and external departments for resolution of data queries.
• Developing expertise in data related issues. Build up knowledge of financial regulations and market practices/conventions in relevant markets.
• Maximise usage of available tools/support to best of advantage to maintain/improve content quality during daily operations.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, timeliness and completeness per company standards for the covered product/market.
• Test new database/application releases where appropriate, providing expert user feedback.
• Support specific projects, as assigned by manager.
Adhere to change control procedures, data operations standards and current data policies and procedures.
• Responsible for delivering high productivity and quality data.
• Proactively identify and resolve data problems.
• Use appropriate language skills to understand and source financial information
• Use language skills to build relationships with overseas market contacts
• Backup other analysts in the team during their absence
• Conduct quality checks on Japanese Bonds & Loans transactions

Qualifications:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , any field.
* Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Banking/Financial Services or equivalent.
* Can converse, read and write at least high school level Japanese
* Preferably a second (2-kyu) or first grade (1-kyu) passer of the Japanese Language Proficiency test
* Can demonstrate comprehension of and comfort in switching to business-level Japanese
* Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Attention to detail
* Good communication skills -both English and Japanese
* Time management
* Resourceful
* Team player
* Customer oriented
* Required skill(s): Level 2 passer.
