The Royal Children’s Hospital Specialist Clinics Department is seeking an experienced Plaster Technician/Nurse to work in the Orthopaedic Clinic.
The Orthopaedic Plaster Technician/Nurse is an integral member of the health care team that also includes orthopaedic surgeons, registered nurses, orthopaedic physiotherapists and play therapists.
Under the written and/or verbal direction of the Orthopaedic clinical staff the Plaster Technician/Nurse is responsible for performing casting, bracing or splinting duties for outpatients and inpatients as directed.
Desirable - Qualifications / Experience
• Certificate IV in Cast Technology.
• Membership of the Australian Institute of Orthopaedic Technologists Inc.
• At least 12 months experience in a similar position.
